Camille Moody McCue, PhD is a STEM educator and Dummies author. She is currently writing curriculum for Project Lead the Way (Gateway team) and she has just completed writing the second edition of her Getting Started with Coding (Dummies Jr.) book for Wiley Publishing. Camille most recently served as the Director of Technology and Curriculum Innovations at the Adelson Educational Campus in Las Vegas where she crafted new educational initiatives interdisciplinary coding, making, and design, including the construction of a K12 Startup Incubator.
Always energized by her daily connection with students, Camille has taught courses including AP CS, physics, math and Future Cities Engineering. In previous summers, Camille served as Curriculum Director for Spark Skill, teaching courses to elementary students in video game coding, 3D printing, and IoT.
Camille earned her BA in math (University of Texas at Austin) and her graduate degrees, including her PhD, in curriculum and instruction (UNLV). She has worked in teaching, technology, and television for entities including NASA and PBS. A Tech Exec Lifetime Achievement winner and longtime author, Camille has written eleven Dummies books. She volunteers on the Lt. Governor’s Task Force on Entrepreneurship, the Girl Scouts STEAM committee, and the DISCOVERY Museum education board.
